Why do I harm myself?

So me and one of the superior users (With poor grammar, I can't stand it when famous users use poor grammar unless they're trying to be silly or something) recently had a chat, and he was wondering why I hurt myself. So to put it, here's the quote I gave him:

Well, I punish myself because I think I'm bad, and whenever I do a bad thing, it makes me a bad person so I must punish myself (Self-Harm) because I done a bad thing. I already feel like I done too many bad things so the list will keep going and going.
